• Provide reliable, timely, and efficient support to the Commissioning & Building Analytics team • Monitor, review, and execute all facets of commissioning-related projects • Perform technical and field activities throughout design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases • Liaise with team members, outside consultants, and contractors while assisting with cross-functional teams • Develop commissioning plans, specifications, activity schedules, and sequences of work • Conduct field commissioning activities, site visits, start-up and test forms, functional tests, and integrated systems tests • Review design drawings, specifications, and submittals • Chair commissioning meetings • Develop, track, and resolve issues using an Issues Log • Develop and execute seasonal and performance tests • Compile project documentation into project-specific Systems Manuals • Develop, review, and evaluate training programs for installed equipment and systems • Support all project documentation and field activity requirements • Manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently
• Recognized university technical degree or equivalent; engineering degree preferred • Minimum 2 years of relevant mechanical or electrical engineering and/or field-testing experience • Experience with commissioning processes and deliverables covered in ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED requirements • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems inspections, testing, and commissioning • Experience testing mechanical and HVAC&R systems, building management and automation systems, plumbing systems, lighting controls, and normal/emergency power systems • Understanding of commissioning plans, commissioning specifications, activity schedules, and sequences of work • Ability to use calibrated testing equipment including flow hoods, anemometers, pitot tubes, IR cameras, power quality meters, and other meters • Ability to develop and compile Systems Manuals and manage project documentation • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills • Strong data management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficient in MS Office products • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple project schedules concurrently • Ability to work individually and in a team environment • Willingness to travel up to 30%-40% to client sites across the USA • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship • PE or PMP designation, CEM, CBCP, CPMP, BCxP, CxA, and LEED AP certifications are assets or preferred, not required
