📋 Description

• Perform structural analysis for delegated steel connection design projects • Work on CISC and AISC projects, with AISC projects led by the US company • Design steel connections, miscellaneous steel, and erection engineering solutions • Develop calculations and new calculation methods to enhance efficiencies • Review steel shop drawings • Prepare submittals • Develop RFIs • Utilize Ram Connection, RISA Connection, Excel, Idea Statica, Bluebeam, Trimble Connect, and Revit • Review 3-D BIM models to support building design, connection design, and shop drawing reviews • Work with the project manager and associated team to organize and implement company projects • Help launch new projects and drive project success from inception to completion

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering • 2+ years of structural engineering experience • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada • Must be able to travel to the USA • Advanced understanding of relevant building codes, materials, and standards • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency or familiarity with Ram Connection, RISA Connection, Excel, Idea Statica, Bluebeam, Trimble Connect, and Revit is a plus • Attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines • Passion for steel design and growing professional knowledge and skills in steel construction • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback • Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus • PE (P.Eng.) certification is an asset
