• Support clients in the Los Angeles, California territory • Expand Mentor product sales and convert competitive products in accordance with company policy and sales direction • Achieve Mentor product sales to new and established accounts to meet sales objectives and increase market penetration • Demonstrate proper surgical use of products to physicians • Handle customer product questions and objections using sales training methodology • Maintain and expand current accounts, build new accounts, develop customer relationships, and meet sales quotas • Execute the selling cycle professionally, ethically, and persuasively • Operate within defined budgetary limits • Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level • Provide consultative sales support through pre-call planning, customer-needs assessment, objection handling, presentations, closing, and follow-up • Build customer relationships, develop and service key opinion leaders, and allocate marketing programs • Position the Mentor portfolio for augmentation and reconstruction settings • Meet productivity goals across the product portfolio • Manage multiple product call points, including private practices, surgery centers, and hospitals • Assess territory metrics and develop and implement territory business plans • Implement and promote marketing programs in private-practice settings • Complete sales training, administrative requirements, and consignment audits by deadlines • Maintain the territory within regional travel and budget requirements • Apply market knowledge and technical fluency across Mentor and competitive product portfolios • Demonstrate knowledge of breast anatomy and support studies/materials • Execute the marketing plan and articulate strategy to customers, management, and team members • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
• Bachelor’s degree • 4-6 years of total work experience • Minimum of 4 years of outside sales experience • Strong computer skills • Ability to identify decision makers and influence decisions • Ability to manage and prioritize workload, multitask, and manage diverse responsibilities and challenges • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to manage budgets, expenses, and execute plans • Strong organizational and prioritization skills • Ability to communicate scientific/clinical features and benefits of a product • Typically oversees $1.5M to $3.5M in annual sales year over year, demonstrating sustained performance 3 out of 4 years • Surgical sales experience is preferred • Knowledge of clinical and surgical techniques and procedures, and medical terminology is preferred • 4+ years of sales experience with documented history of 2+ years sales success in a medical device sales environment is preferred • Experience selling to surgeons in an operating room environment and/or calling on plastic surgeons is preferred • Aesthetics sales experience and experience calling on plastic surgeons is preferred • Ability to function effectively in a high-performance team and adapt to a rapidly changing environment • Under-18 candidates may need state-required working papers or documentation and parental consent for background checks
