📋 Description

• Own and support all New Product Development, Product Improvement, and Sustaining Changes for a given product line • Advise on complex design and engineering decisions • Maintain schedules for large-scale projects and delegate work to the supporting design team • Collaborate with Product Design Managers to complete initiatives accurately and efficiently • Mentor and guide junior design/drafting roles • Implement process improvements and best practices • Perform design tasks and generate finished drawings through collaboration with drafters • Assign and manage product-area work to meet deadlines • Coordinate with manufacturing engineers to optimize designs for manufacturing • Plan, coordinate, and oversee design/drafting activities • Report project progress to engineering, management, customers, and suppliers • Participate as a technical member of engineering project, engineering change, or material review teams • Prepare company standards and procedures • Create best-practice documentation and streamline design/drafting processes • Develop and implement global design-process standards across design centers • Investigate and recommend CAD and design hardware/software • Assist engineers with chiller component selection, weight distributions, airflow calculations, heat transfer calculations, and electromechanical systems

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of CREO modeling expertise • Large mechanical assembly design experience • Basic understanding of team leadership qualities and practices • US citizen and/or permanent resident of the US • Expert-level CREO proficiency • Preferred: Windchill PLM • Preferred: Pro-Piping module • Preferred: Chiller and/or HVAC/R industry experience
