📋 Description

• Lead design across Later’s product portfolio, spanning Later Influence, Later Social, and Mavely • Build and lead a team of 5–6 UX designers • Partner with approximately 10 product managers and an engineering organization of 100+ developers • Serve as a hands-on principal contributor on critical zero-to-one product bets • Turn business requirements into functional browser-based prototypes and drive rapid experimentation • Safeguard user experience on flagship launches through direct co-creation • Translate business strategy and customer insight into a design roadmap • Identify and resolve structural gaps across the product experience • Pioneer agentic UX workflows and build functional AI prototypes • Define UI/UX patterns for human-in-the-loop interactions, AI trust mechanisms, and agentic failure states • Integrate generative AI and computational design into product workflows • Lead, mentor, recruit, and develop UX designers • Partner with the CPO, CTO, product managers, and engineering leadership on product and technology strategy • Implement design tokens and AI-assisted design-to-code pipelines • Co-author scalable, API-aware front-end architecture strategies • Represent design in company-wide planning and prioritization • Set design craft, accessibility, usability, and quality standards • Establish repeatable user research and translate insights into product priorities • Drive AI-assisted prototyping, research synthesis, usability analysis, and design-to-development workflows

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product design or UX • 5+ years leading and growing a design team • Systems-thinking experience across multiple products or teams • Strong technical fluency and experience partnering with engineering on platform architecture, APIs, data models, frontend frameworks, and implementation tradeoffs • Experience building or scaling a design system, pattern library, or shared UX standards • Strong facilitation and communication skills • Experience presenting design direction to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders • Experience mentoring and developing designers at varying levels of seniority • Ability to balance hands-on craft with strategic, portfolio-level thinking • Demonstrated proficiency with AI-assisted design, prototyping, and development tools • Experience in B2B SaaS, marketplace, or platform products is a plus • Experience in influencer marketing, creator economy, or social/commerce-adjacent spaces is a bonus
