• Advocate for user-first content practices with internal and client teams • Ensure content decisions are grounded in user research, accessibility best practices, and business goals • Guide clients on how content affects navigation, usability, and conversions • Write engaging, strategic, accessible, SEO- and AEO-ready website copy • Plan, create, and present content audits, map/gap analyses, user journeys, personas, user flows, keyword/SEO/AEO research, content maps, copy guidelines, voice/tone frameworks, UX copywriting, and content governance documentation • Participate in client pitch meetings as a voice for creative services • Contribute to webinars, case studies, speaking engagements, blog posts, video content, conferences, and industry events • Take projects from discovery and research through strategy, content development, and implementation • Communicate and demonstrate the rationale behind recommendations to internal and client teams • Collaborate closely with design and implementation teams to shape content systems and user experiences
• 5+ years of combined content strategy and copywriting experience at a senior level, ideally within an agency or client services environment • Ability to build content strategies based on qualitative research and quantitative data • Experience creating copy meeting SEO/AEO needs and established accessibility standards • Experience working with remote and/or distributed teams • Experience planning and structuring content for large or complex websites • Portfolio demonstrating website content strategy, content modelling, UX writing, information architecture, and copywriting samples tied to project goals • Experience with Userbrain, Optimal Workshop, Mouseflow, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Workspace, and documentation tools • Excellent writing and editing skills, grammar, and attention to detail • Ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible, engaging content • Strategic mindset balancing business objectives with user needs • Strong communication and facilitation skills in client-facing contexts • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive content practices, such as WCAG • Ability to juggle multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada • Must reside in British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, or the Northwest Territories • Must be available for regular collaboration during Pacific Time business hours • No visa sponsorship available
