📋 Description

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution • Analyze insurance policies and evaluate complex coverage issues • Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, disclaimer letters, and other coverage-related correspondence • Litigate insurance coverage matters, including handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trials • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents • Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic guidance and regular case updates • Collaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex coverage and litigation matters • Represent national, regional, and international insurance carriers in complex coverage disputes across a broad range of insurance lines

🎯 Requirements

• Admission to practice in Illinois required • Indiana admission is a plus • 2+ years of insurance coverage and/or insurance coverage litigation experience • Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills • Ability to independently manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment • Excellent organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills • Experience with professional liability coverage • Experience with Directors & Officers (D&O) liability coverage • Experience with financial institutions coverage • Coverage opinion drafting and policy analysis experience • Insurance coverage litigation experience, including motion practice and depositions
