• Design, analyze, and optimize system and equipment designs for solar energy and BESS installations • Collaborate with KE design and project teams, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and external engineering partners • Serve as subject matter expert for foundations, load-carrying members, materials, fasteners, and coatings • Design mechanical and structural aspects of photovoltaic, battery storage, and substation systems • Perform load analysis, foundation sizing, and corrosion analysis using engineering software • Establish or verify construction, manufacturing, and installation standards and specifications • Coordinate design documentation and installation to ensure compliance with requirements • Generate test plans, compile data, and write engineering reports • Prepare or review structural/mechanical equipment and material purchase specifications • Manage project problems, schedules, costs, and quality • Conduct onsite visits as needed to collect information and support solutions • Interface with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and manufacturers/distributors • Maintain project files, drawings, documents, and records in the company database
• Proficiency with materials, coatings, and manufacturing methods • Competency in structural loading analysis • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering • Professional Engineering license preferred, but not required • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred • Ability to work closely with the team and independently • Valid driver’s license with a history of safe and competent driving • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for extended periods • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs • Authorization to work in the United States
