📋 Description

• DWH Management and Support: Administering, monitoring, and ensuring the continuous operation of the Data Warehouse (DWH) infrastructure • Performance Optimization: Performing regular tuning of SQL queries, indexes, partitioning, and DWH configuration parameters to achieve maximum processing speed • Security and Access Management: Configuring and controlling user access rights (roles, privileges) in compliance with internal security policies • Backup & Recovery: Developing, implementing, and regularly testing backup strategies and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) • Monitoring and Reporting: Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems, analyzing logs, and providing warnings for potential issues (space limits, blocking, low performance) • ETL/ELT Process Management: Collaborating with ETL developers (e.g., Informatica, DataStage) to optimize data loading processes and ensure their reliable operation • Storage Management: Controlling and managing disk space, archiving, and purging obsolete data • Troubleshooting: Rapid identification and resolution of critical incidents and performance issues

🎯 Requirements

• DWH Platforms: Deep knowledge and proven experience in administering one or more enterprise-grade DWH platforms (e.g., Oracle Exadata/DB, Teradata, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL/Greenplum, Snowflake) • SQL and PL/SQL: Proficient in SQL and experienced in writing/optimizing complex procedures, functions, and scripts • Networking and OS: Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), and knowledge of Linux/Unix administration sufficient for managing DWH instances and related tools • Performance: Experience in diagnosing and tuning DWH performance at the database, operating system, and hardware levels • A plus would be : 3-5 years in a Data Warehouse (DWH) Administrator or Senior Database Administrator role • ETL Tools: Experience with or understanding of ETL system architectures (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter) • Automation: Experience in writing scripts for automating routine tasks (Shell scripting, Python)
