📋 Description

• Provide quality service and repair of complex Wescam MX-Series airborne surveillance turrets • Repair, test, and maintain Wescam MX-Series sensor systems according to established processes and customer deadlines • Understand gimbal systems, component interactions, and peripheral interfaces • Troubleshoot, repair, and test failed systems, including aircraft integration issues • Perform preventative maintenance on MX turrets • Become proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing Wescam MX sensor systems within 90 days • Complete formal MX training and extensive on-the-job training as required • Support U.S. Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, and DOD Military customers • Serve as a resource to other employees in areas of expertise • Complete service and repair documentation and technical trip reports • Provide Wescam training to customers on MX operations and operator-level maintenance • Perform occasional off-hour or weekend tasks as required • Deploy to OCONUS and other international sites, including hazardous or extreme environments • Work with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering on corrective actions • Make independent decisions affecting mission-critical system performance and availability

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 3 years of prior related experience • Minimum of 4 years experience with electronic and mechanical test equipment • Minimum of 4 years experience troubleshooting and repairing product aircraft integration, electronics, and mechanical systems down to the line replaceable unit level • Minimum of 4 years experience with MS Office applications including Word and Excel and specialized software test programs • Minimum of 4 years experience communicating clearly with technical and non-technical customers • Willingness and ability to support OCONUS sites for short-term deployments • Willingness and physical ability to work outdoors in temperatures exceeding 120 degrees • Ability to work 12 hours per day, 7 days per week and remain on call 24/7 at OCONUS locations • Employment contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignment, including a comprehensive post-offer medical examination • 90% travel required • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher preferred • At least 5 years' experience as an electro-mechanical technician on similarly complex products preferred • Minimum of 4 years prior FSR experience in CONUS and OCONUS repair assignments desired • Equivalent military experience considered • Special Operations, AFSOC, DOD, Airborne Law Enforcement, or similar experience desired • Direct systems integration, software, optical, and electro-mechanical systems experience preferred • Previous aircraft, tower, or aerostat-based MX sensor systems experience highly desired • Familiarity with government contracting preferred but not required • Experience working under limited supervision or autonomously • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
