📋 Description

• Design and create printed circuit board (PCB) layouts for circuit card assemblies (CCAs) • Place components within defined size envelopes and route metal traces • Hold milestone reviews with design engineers and manufacturing process engineers • Release PCB and CCA drawings • Ensure electrical, physical, manufacturing, and assembly requirements are met • Develop and generate drawings and documentation for PCB fabrication and assembly • Rework PCB designs following engineering design changes • Assist the design team in resolving design issues • Update drawings and documentation based on engineering change requests • Create ECAD library footprints and schematic symbols as required • Support backend management and maintenance of ECAD tools

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, or graduate degree and minimum 7 years of prior related experience • In lieu of a degree, minimum 13 years of prior related experience • Multiple years of experience in PCB design or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in PCB design • Competent skills and experience with ECAD software applications and related equipment • Specific experience with Siemens (formerly Mentor Graphics) Xpedition software desired • Competent experience and knowledge of PCB design technologies, PCB layout techniques, electrical schematics, and PCB fabrication and assembly drawings desired • Practical knowledge of IPC design standards, including design for manufacturability, desired • Practical knowledge of ASME/ANSI documentation standards desired • Knowledge of IPC-2221, IPC-2222, IPC-6012, IPC-A-600, and IPC-A-610 desired • IT experience supporting backend management and maintenance of ECAD tools such as Siemens Xpedition and EDM • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and/or IPC CID certification desired • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering beneficial
