📋 Description

• A well-established and fast growing company from the East Coast of the United States is looking to build a team of Senior Ruby on Rails developers working completely remotely from Chile. • You will be responsible for many different parts of the lifecycle, including planning, development and implementation of features and fixes. • The ideal candidate has excellent English, experience working remotely, experience working with international companies, and is passionate about well-organized code and user-driven applications. • Interact directly with the US-based team to design and build world-class applications. • Write code that is clear, well-tested, optimized and thoroughly documented. • Assist in removing development blocks for other members of the team, both locally in Chile and in the US. • Perform code reviews to ensure strongly-designed and tested commits. • Collaborate with and mentor other members of the team, both locally and abroad. • Participate in discussions about design and architecture of the apps. • Lead benchmark and performance tuning efforts. • Always follow international industry-standard best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• High Intermediate/Advanced English level, both written and verbal • 5+ years of experience on Ruby on Rails framework • 5+ years experience in HTML and CSS • 1+ years of experience with React • Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools • Experience writing or refactoring code to be scalable and well-performing. • Experience working with relational databases like MySQL • Experience with unit/functional/integration testing to ensure high quality software that can be maintained. • Experience using flowcharts, diagrams and whiteboarding to document and demonstrate solutions. • Bonus Skills: • Experience with Mongo DB • Experience with OAuth, SAML, OIDC • Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies • Experience with AWS (especially EC2, ECR, S3, Fargate, RDS • Experience with Kubernetes
