📋 Description

• Lead the design and development of high-quality, scalable backend services using Java and microservices architecture • Design, implement and maintain REST APIs to enable communication between microservices • Actively contribute to architecture and ensure projects follow best practices in software design, testing, deployment, and operation • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Designers, developers, and quality engineers to deliver seamless integration and functionality • Apply secure coding best practices and ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS for payment integrations) • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers • Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI to automate testing and deployments • Monitor and optimize application performance and reliability in production • Stay current with industry trends and continuously improve development practices

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent relevant experience • Proficient experience with Java • Experience with Micronaut or Springboot • Experience in developing within a microservices architecture • Understanding of domain-driven design principles • Implement and maintain REST API services • Advanced skills in secure coding best practices • Experience working with Postgres databases • Experience with Google Cloud • Experience in Agile, SCRUM, or similar iterative unified processes • Intermediate knowledge of Git/GitHub • Experience deploying CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker (nice to have) • Experience integrating with major payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, Square) (nice to have) • Familiarity with GraphQL (nice to have) • AWS or Azure experience (nice to have) • Certification in AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar (nice to have) • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to mentor junior developers and provide code reviews
