• Define long-term strategic cloud technology blueprints and engineering standards • Design, implement, optimize, and maintain scalable, secure, resilient hybrid/multi-cloud architectures • Architect and manage VPCs, VNets, subnets, transit gateways/peering, firewalls, private links, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, and related cloud networking components • Automate provisioning and configuration management through Infrastructure as Code • Implement cloud security controls, compliance frameworks, encryption, WAF, and threat/misconfiguration monitoring • Optimize cloud cost and utilization through tagging, rightsizing, reserved instances/savings plans, and continuous cost analysis • Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions • Support disaster recovery, high availability, business continuity, backup/restore, failover architectures, and DR testing • Collaborate with Network, Security, Application Development, and Operations teams on cloud projects, incident response, and architecture reviews • Support business growth, cloud adoption, and proactive resolution of infrastructure challenges
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 12+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree • 12+ years of progressive experience in cloud architecture, engineering, and operations, including at least 4 years in a senior or lead Cloud Architect role • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale hybrid/multi-cloud environments using AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud • Expertise with Generative AI infrastructure, RAG pipelines, vector databases, GPU/TPU clusters, Kubernetes/container orchestration, and LLM workload auto-scaling • Hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Bicep/ARM, and Ansible • Strong cloud networking experience with VPCs, VNets, subnets, transit gateways, peering, private links, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, firewalls, security groups, WAF, and private API gateways • Experience implementing enterprise security and compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, and FedRAMP • Experience with observability and monitoring stacks including CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Operations, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, and ELK/EFK • Track record in cost optimization and disaster recovery/business continuity planning • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment • U.S. Citizenship required • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust • Preferred: cloud adoption leadership, strategic technology roadmaps, microservices, modern APIs, secure private cloud networking, Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies • Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, CKA/CKAD, and Azure Security Engineer Associate
