📋 Description

• Adapt complex software interfaces and support documentation for native Somali users • Localize global marketing campaigns and brand voices for Somali-speaking markets • Localize product and e-commerce copy, including UI listings • Apply regional naming logic and formatting standards • Uphold quality benchmarks and brand identity • Coordinate with production and quality leads to deliver projects on schedule and within client specifications • Contribute to AI and language technology projects • Complete onboarding, payment setup, and community registration after selection and testing

🎯 Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Somali • A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience • Ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely • Proven professional experience in translation and localization within marketing, UI/software, or e-commerce content • Experience with app or platform localization preferred • Reliable availability and commitment; most tasks require a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week • Contractors cannot be engaged in regions subject to international embargo or sanctions • Sole responsibility for personal tax obligations • Updated CV in English required • Must complete a domain-specific test if required and pass it before onboarding
