📋 Description

• Process, rate where applicable, and release client shipments accurately and on time • Create customs entries by reviewing documentation and selecting appropriate clients, vendors, keywords and HS codes • Enter shipment information for release, rating and billing, ensuring mandatory fields are accurate and complete • Determine correct value for duty and tariff treatment from invoice details and terms of sale • Contact Release Import Analysts or client service teams for missing documentation, information or instructions • Verify release-condition, compliance and rating-compliance documentation, including free trade certificates • Follow Livingston SOPs, ESPs, business rules and special client instructions • Identify outdated or ineffective procedures and recommend improvements • Research and respond professionally to Call Center requests by phone or email • Prioritize work according to client and customs requirements • Escalate two-step release requirements and authorization or release issues to appropriate analysts, supervisors or Customs Specialists • Update, approve and release billing information as required in Canada • Assist with billing and automated systems rating data entry when required • Participate in day-to-day Release Operations with team members • Use available system automation tools to support release processing • Perform other related duties and adhere to established policies and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• High School/GED or equivalent required • Working towards or successful completion of the Certified Customs Specialists (CCS) designation with CSCB or NCBFAA is required if not already obtained • Successful completion of the CCS examination is mandatory for further advancement • No experience required • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills • Client service-oriented interpersonal skills • Ability to handle large volumes and meet tight deadlines • Attention to detail, organization, completeness and accuracy • Good analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to make decisions and recommendations within authorized limitations • Excellent time management skills • Ability to present a professional image • Knowledge of Word and Excel • Ability to use a personal computer and common business machines/software
