📋 Description

• This is a remote position. • Who we are and what we do: LocalEyes Group is a leading provider of Localization Services to the international computer and software sectors with headquarters in Ireland and subsidiaries in Europe. • We work with the world's most innovative companies. • We help them to grow and expand in new markets providing experts and cultural awareness. • LocalEyes is recruiting German Freelance translators willing to provide translation and localization services in Marketing and IT sectors. • For this role, you will be working as part of a dynamic team and in an international environment. • Specific responsibilities include marketing and IT translations, linguistic review and QA, checking of terminology consistency through the management of TMs, glossaries and style guides to guarantee the quality of deliverables.

🎯 Requirements

• Native in target language with a degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation or equivalent experience • IT skilled with knowledge and experience of SDL Studio and CAT tools • Preferred experience as a translator specialized in translation and proofreading of the required field (marketing and IT) • Editorial and/or journalistic skills and up-to-date with language and terminology trends • Excellent written and spoken English to truly understand the meaning and translate as if it were originally written in target language • Well familiar with US American culture and pop culture in order to recognise the author's play on words or visual references and able to adequately localize into target language • Obsessed by the detail, quality-driven and has a passion for languages • Understanding and attitude to work within a confidential environment • Able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment with multiple changes in project priorities and tight deadlines • Available to travel as the business calls • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Good availability, potentially at least 4 hours per day and quick response times
