📋 Description

• Lead and grow the Maps & Search team. • Stay hands-on with code and design reviews. • Own and scale a high-throughput search platform. • Deliver a world-class home search experience. • Push forward AI-powered discovery. • Shape the roadmap with product and design.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with meaningful senior or staff-level time, plus 2+ years managing engineering teams. • Search experience — you've worked on search, relevance, ranking, or retrieval systems. • Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React. • Experience designing and operating scalable microservice architectures in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred). • Strong understanding of GraphQL, event-driven systems (Kafka), and databases (PostgreSQL, OpenSearch). • A proven track record operating high-traffic, low-latency production systems at scale. • Experience leading high-impact initiatives from concept through production in a SaaS environment.
