📋 Description

• Develop and coordinate commissioning schedules, responsibilities, and procedures with EPC and OEM partners • Analyze commissioning scopes to identify gaps or overlaps • Oversee off-site and on-site commissioning activities, including project-site inspections and support • Track commissioning progress against schedules and provide status visibility • Oversee integration testing across substations, BESS controls, PCS interfaces, metering, utility/ISO interfaces, and operations systems • Support EPCs and OEMs during commissioning test procedures • Lead engineering and commissioning meetings with EPC, OEM, SCADA, and P&C integrators • Review substation, BOP, BESS, and PCS commissioning reports and relay trip events • Audit capacity testing required for Substantial Completion • Coordinate EPC and Compliance inputs for NERC studies and approvals • Identify and escalate commissioning blockers, design gaps, integration risks, schedule risks, and safety concerns • Lead grid-code testing and testing required for Commercial Operation and COD • Travel to OEM facilities for buyoff or training as needed • Manage technical aspects of commissioning, including interconnection, communications, and schedules • Maintain organized commissioning technical deliverables • Interface with the independent engineer to ensure accurate reports and protect development and ownership interests • Provide construction RFI support as the owner’s engineer • Provide technical leadership to support stakeholders • Source and manage external consultants and partners, including scopes of work, RFPs, scope, and schedule

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering • Strong working knowledge of utility-scale PV and BESS systems • 4+ years of experience in utility-scale PV/BESS system construction or commissioning • Familiarity with utility-scale PV/BESS construction practices • Ability to assess engineering and technical matters commercially • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time, or as required during energization and commissioning • Experience engaging investors, EPC partners, developers, and O&M partners • Ability to identify cost or schedule drivers and implement actions to optimize and protect installed budget and completion schedule targets
