Male, female, and ethnically diverse Care Partners are assigned to each location making regularly scheduled brief worksite visits.

📋 Description

• Serve as a frontline Care Team Member fulfilling MCC's mission and Christian ministry • Serve as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose • Interact with companies, employees, and the community in a manner exhibiting character through personal and spiritual disciplines • Make regular, usually weekly, visits to company worksites to interact with employees and build relationships of trust and friendship motivated by Christian faith • Visit employees or immediate family members in hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, family residences, and other locations where care can be expressed • Provide confidential pastoral discussions regarding family matters, divorce, serious illness, aging parents, death and grief, parenting, financial stress, and other personal issues • Provide referrals and coordinate specialized assistance for employees and immediate family members with specific needs • Assist with planning, conducting, or attending funerals and provide follow-up grief support • Make jail visits to employees and immediate family members when needed • Serve notifications of death and serious injuries and encourage those affected by tragedies • Provide post-termination care for laid-off or terminated employees • Facilitate, but not lead, spiritual enrichment activities • Provide literature and other resources for employees' life issues • Represent companies to clients or customers when ministry services are appropriate, including serious illness, accidents, traumatic events, and funerals • Participate in new employee orientation and explain the Employee Care Service and Care Team Member role • With Executive Director of Operations permission, perform other duties and services requested by company leadership within the Letter of Agreement

🎯 Requirements

• Fluent in English • Hindi or Punjabi speaking is required • Urdu speaking is an asset • Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary group and in an interfaith setting • Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values • Effective listening and interaction skills with clients, employees, and families • Skills to deliver community presentations • Ability to deal effectively with family members and staff under stressful circumstances • High regard for the dignity and worth of clients, employees, and their families • Ability to cope with stressful situations and document accurately according to standards • Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle and MCC's Ministry values • Fundamental understanding of the Holy Bible and its proper application • Saving faith in Jesus Christ and active participation in a biblically based church • Professional, diplomatic, patient, and courteous interaction with diverse groups • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships • Exceptional customer service ability • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses • Skill in analyzing information, defining and following up on problems or objectives, identifying solutions, and solving problems • Skill in interpreting relevant policies and procedures and keeping others informed • Computer proficiency using Google Suites, Microsoft Office, internet, email, and web-based software applications • Ability to learn new technology programs • Active provincial license and auto insurance • Must pass a pre-employment background check and reference check
