Male, female, and ethnically diverse Care Partners are assigned to each location making regularly scheduled brief worksite visits.

📋 Description

• Serve as frontline staff fulfilling MCC's mission and Christian ministry by serving company employees and their immediate families • Serve as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose • Interact with companies, employees, and the community • Make regular visits to company worksites, usually weekly, to interact with employees and build relationships • Visit employees or immediate family members in hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, family residences, or other sites • Provide confidential pastoral discussions and referral services for personal, family, health, bereavement, parenting, financial, and other life issues • Assist with funerals and provide follow-up support to immediate family members • Make jail visits to employees and immediate family members when needed • Serve notifications of death and serious injuries and encourage those impacted by tragedies • Provide post-termination care for laid-off or terminated employees • Facilitate spiritual enrichment activities when appropriate • Provide literature and other resources for life issues • Represent companies to clients or customers during ministry-related situations such as serious illness, accidents, traumatic events, and funerals • Participate in new employee orientation to explain the Employee Care Service and Care Team Member role • Perform other duties requested by company executive leadership within the Letter of Agreement

🎯 Requirements

• Fluent in English; French speaking an asset • Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary group and in an interfaith setting • Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values • Effective listening and interaction skills with clients, employees, and families • Skills to deliver community presentations • Ability to deal effectively with family members and staff under stressful circumstances • High regard for the dignity and worth of clients, employees, and their families • Ability to cope with stressful situations and document accurately according to standards • Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle and MCC's Ministry values • Fundamental understanding of the Holy Bible and its proper application • Attests to a saving faith in Jesus Christ and actively participates in a biblically based church • Professional interaction skills with diplomacy, patience, and courtesy • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to maintain emotional stability when coping with human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses • Skill in analyzing information to define and follow up on problems or objectives • Ability to identify solutions and solve problems • Skill in interpreting position-related policies and procedures and keeping others informed • Computer proficiency using Google Suites, Microsoft Office, internet, email messaging, and web-based software applications • Ability to understand and learn new technology programs • Must have an active provincial license and auto insurance • Must pass a pre-employment background check and reference check
