• Sell and maintain distribution of assigned products. • Present display programs to customers and propose orders. • Present and sell flyers to stores. • Ensure that all listed products are properly displayed on shelves with store price labels. • Replenish displays, including Mars Canada displays. • Work with customers to secure secondary placement space for display builds. • Apply point-of-sale (POS) materials or other marketing materials, as applicable. • Rotate products on shelves and in the back room to ensure optimal product quality and freshness. • Keep appropriate data (customer information, survey records, follow-ups, etc.) up to date in the field sales data-collection software. • Manage the territory through customer coverage, involving the effective and cost-efficient use of time and resources. • Plan and organize routes according to the company’s visit-coverage model (visit frequency and call time). • Keep the DSM informed of competitive activities in the territory. • Maintain an adequate inventory of merchandising and POS materials. • Follow company procedures for processing credits and checks.
• Minimum high school diploma. • Ability to lift heavy cases, up to a maximum of 50 pounds. • Ability to drive approximately 100 km per day while conducting sales visits. • Ability to perform repetitive movements, including but not limited to getting in and out of a vehicle, bending, leaning, stretching, pushing, pulling, and gripping. • Ability to use hand tools such as an X-Acto knife, pliers, wrenches, and screwdrivers to assemble displays. • Sales experience preferred. • Ability to obtain the level of automobile insurance coverage required by the company. • Valid driver’s license.
