📋 Description
• Analyze RFP's, project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes for materials and services required for the project • Utilize estimation software and tools to streamline the bidding process and ensure precision in cost calculations • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to plan and execute electrical projects • Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative solutions to improve project profitability • Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for electrical projects • Coordinate bid submissions and follow-up with clients to address any inquiries • Participate in RFP and potential customer job walks when required • Occasional travel to job sites for site walks and to company offices for meetings (10% travel)
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience) • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the electrical industry, preferably in the renewable energy sector • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards • Demonstrated Knowledge of Prevailing Wage requirements • Proficiency in electrical estimation software and tools while utilizing standard cost estimation methods • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges effectively • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients • Must complete background & MVR check with acceptable results.
