📋 Description

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and monthly close for multiple subsidiary companies within an assigned region. • Manage multi-company consolidations, including intercompany eliminations, for regional and corporate financial reporting. • Prepare, review, and approve income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. • Calculate and report budget variances and key operating metrics to regional and corporate leadership. • Apply and maintain ASC 842 lease accounting policies across subsidiary entities. • Oversee multi-state sales and use tax compliance, including nexus review, filings, and coordination with outside tax advisors. • Apply percentage-of-completion accounting for applicable long-term contracts, ensuring proper revenue recognition and job costing. • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over accounting transactions. • Monitor debt covenant compliance. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings. • Coordinate audit and tax activities with corporate finance and external auditors. • Partner with subsidiary general managers and operational leadership on capital investment analysis, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. • Manage, mentor, and develop subsidiary-level accounting staff across assigned entities. • Travel to subsidiary locations as needed to support close processes, systems rollouts, and staff development. • Report to the CFO.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility in a multi-entity environment. • Distribution or manufacturing industry experience required. • Hands-on experience with lease accounting (ASC 842). • Experience with multi-state sales and use tax (SALT) compliance. • Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting for long-term contracts. • Experience managing multi-company consolidations across multiple legal entities. • Strong Excel skills. • ERP system experience strongly preferred. • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 15% of the time to subsidiary locations. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across subsidiary and corporate teams. • CPA certification preferred. • Experience in a PE-backed, multi-subsidiary industrial distribution or manufacturing environment preferred. • Familiarity with Epicor Prophet 21 or other distribution-focused ERP platforms preferred. • Experience supporting M&A integrations or new entity onboarding preferred.
