📋 Description

• Operate as an independent contractor within Melanie Casey Fine Jewelry’s production network • Produce high-quality fine jewelry pieces requiring technical artistry and precision • Manage your own schedule, production flow, business operations, consumables, tools, and workspace • Complete work orders according to comprehensive specifications and rigorous quality expectations • Self-direct and self-critique work to consistently deliver production-ready pieces • Collaborate with Melanie Casey’s internal team for ongoing support • Manage digital communication, work orders, and specifications • Complete a mandatory practical bench test from your own studio during vetting

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum five years of continuous professional bench jeweler experience • Mandatory practical bench test to assess technical skill and quality standards • Mandatory questionnaires, references, and background checks • Torch appropriate for soldering and welding platinum and gold • Fully equipped, ergonomically appropriate jeweler’s workbench • Reliable dust and fume ventilation system • Professional-grade jeweler’s setting microscope • Secure location for storing work orders • Access to a UPS or FedEx shipping hub • Maintain own consumables, tools, and workspace • Comfortable and proficient using digital tools for daily operational tasks • Laser welder helpful but not required
