• Oversee and manage client relationships in food and beverage accounts on a national basis. • Act as the senior account representative for Shermco Industries with national clients and partners in the food and beverage industry. • Develop comprehensive account plans with trackable metrics and KPIs. • Create and monitor targets for the national sales department. • Build and maintain trusting, professional relationships with clients. • Meet with clients and account managers; ensure all accounts are looked after and maintained. • Supervise and manage regional salespeople in the department. • Follow up on complaints and queries on behalf of clients. • Promote new services and products to clients in your department. • Report to senior management on the status of accounts. • Lead presentations and proposals for national accounts. • Monitor and identify market trends and competitive advantages. • Travel approximately 50% for client meetings and account management.
• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is highly preferred but experience selling technical electrical services or related will be considered in lieu of a degree. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a regional or national account manager role with demonstrated sales performance selling electrical or engineering related services (PLC/Automation/Drives/Controls) to the food and beverage industry. • OR current electrical engineer in a food and beverage company with excellent interpersonal skills, confidence, ability to lead a team of salespeople, and interest/capacity for sales/account management. • Ability to travel 50%. • Ability to negotiate, solve problems and be a thought-leader. • Solid grasp of sales metrics, performance measures, and technical indicators. • Thorough aptitude for analysis and strategy. • Decisive thinking and leadership abilities. • Excellent interpersonal and client-relations skills. • Negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills. • Dynamic and creative problem-solving abilities. • Strong client-focused mindset. • Ideally located in Des Moines or one of the listed cities or close to a major airport.
