📋 Description

• Work alongside and learn from Oliver Wyman’s industry leaders and other consultants while contributing to a broad range of client projects • Interaction with Oliver Wyman’s clients, which include top tier insurance companies, healthcare systems, regulatory agencies, large employers with captive programs and private equity firms • Valuation and reserve development for medical and other A&H products • Captive feasibility, funding, reserving, and risk/capital management • Merger and acquisition management and support • Economic Capital Modeling and Enterprise Risk Management • Regulatory support – financial examinations and review of mergers and acquisitions • Support of pricing, product development, strategy, and other project work performed within the health practice across all lines of business

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field • Significant progress with actuarial exams, ASA/FSA preferred • 5+ years of actuarial experience in the actuarial field, preferably in the health insurance market or healthcare provider market • Exceptional organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment • Project management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent time management skills • Understanding of the value of collaboration and the ability to work effectively in a team setting • Deep critical-thinking skills and problem-solving ability • Strong skills with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint required • R, SAS, SQL, VBA, or other programming language experience a plus
