📋 Description

• Configure and document insurance products using internal tools and Excel-based templates • Participate in the development, review, and refinement of insurance products for clients on the Modular Solutions platform • Interpret and translate underwriting guidelines, rating rules, and policy documentation into actionable product configurations • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect information for timely and accurate product delivery • Assist in managing and prioritizing product backlog items • Configure insurance product wording, rating logic, and business rules using best practices and internal standards • Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the product lifecycle, from initial configuration through final testing and implementation • Participate in product testing and validation to ensure compliance, usability, and minimal release disruptions • Provide insurance expertise and contextual insights for product setup discussions and problem-solving • Document configuration decisions and logic for transparency, continuity, and scalability • Communicate progress and potential blockers to team members and project leads • Learn and use all internal technology systems • Perform other duties as required and requested by Modular Solutions Inc.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Insurance Product Development and/or Actuarial work • Strong Excel skills, including logic and template-based rule setting • Ability to interpret and apply insurance product guidelines • Familiarity with insurance workflows, especially brokers, underwriters, and risk managers • Experience in underwriting, accounting and/or the insurance product lifecycle is an asset • Familiarity with insurance software platforms, policy administration systems, or configurable SaaS solutions • Experience documenting configuration logic and managing version control using Confluence, SharePoint, or versioned templates • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences • Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, Trello, or Asana • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly with complex rating logic or insurance documentation • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Comfortable working independently in a remote team setting • Willingness to track work hours for internal time and billing purposes • Commitment to ongoing learning in insurance trends, regulatory changes, or product innovation
