📋 Description

• Plan, write, and edit high-impact documentation for diverse product ecosystems across all delivery formats • Own the end-to-end documentation lifecycle for an assigned brand or product line • Drive documentation strategy and manage release deliverables across product milestones • Develop, maintain, and enhance user-facing documentation across web portals, multimedia, and embedded assistance technologies • Lead documentation efforts for new products, major releases, and product redesigns • Prioritize customer experience through user-first, problem-solving technical content • Mentor Technical Writer I and II levels and advise as a subject matter expert • Maintain quality standards and assist with workload distribution • Audit processes and deliverables and implement efficiency and usability improvements • Own the documentation bug/support pipeline, including triage, requirement clarification, assignment, and escalation • Build consensus across organizational levels and align documentation strategies with business objectives • Resolve complex job- or customer-related issues creatively and independently • Maintain advanced knowledge of authoring tools and workflows and apply it to improve team deliverables

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Madcap Flare authoring and advanced documentation workflows • Proven experience with diverse publication types, including online content syndication and HTML-first documentation • Skilled at building consensus and working effectively across separate, cross-functional teams • Ability to leverage AI-powered tools to drive quality and operational efficiency • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for task and documentation management • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in technical writing or equivalent discipline experience OR 8+ years of technical writing experience • Legal authorization to work in Canada indefinitely is required • Employer work permit sponsorship is not available • Preferred: experience creating and maintaining standardized hardware/software manuals throughout the product lifecycle • Preferred: history of driving significant process improvements and operational efficiency • Preferred: proficiency in git-based source control, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Illustrator • Preferred: deep experience translating complex technical concepts into intuitive user guides
