📋 Description

• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of major donors. • Work closely with the VP of Development, program staff, and Mozilla executive leadership. • Get up to speed on the existing major gift portfolio and Salesforce pipeline and build relationships with current donors. • Move active cultivation prospects toward solicitation. • Partner with prospect research to identify and qualify new major gift prospects. • Plan and deliver stewardship touchpoints or donor events. • Create tailored proposals and impact stories using input from program and executive staff. • Personally solicit and close five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts. • Advance prospects through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. • Document donor interactions in Salesforce. • Build donor renewal and increased-support pathways. • Convert annual donors into major giving. • Grow the major gift pipeline and help meet revenue targets. • Deploy senior leaders toward appropriate donor relationships and moments.

🎯 Requirements

• A track record in major gift fundraising, preferably in technology, advocacy, or public interest organizations. • Demonstrated success personally soliciting and closing five-, six- and/or seven-figure gifts directly with high-net-worth individuals. • Ability to conceive, plan, and execute a major gifts program. • Ability to build, prioritize, and systematically manage a portfolio of donor relationships from identification through stewardship. • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills. • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling philanthropic opportunities. • Strong proposal writing and presentation skills. • Command of donor cultivation strategy and moves management. • Comfort with CRM systems and disciplined donor database management. • Focus to manage a full portfolio and initiative to move toward hard conversations, including the ask. • Additional experience with digital rights, internet health, or technology policy; Donor-Advised Funds; data-informed prospecting such as wealth screening or predictive analytics tools; planned and bequest giving is welcomed.
