• Respond to standard incoming contacts regarding MPI policies and procedures. • Open new claims, obtain relevant claimant details, and verify coverage using telephone questioning techniques. • Advise claimants on applicable coverage, claim-filing procedures, and MPI-approved claim processes. • Categorize new claims as non-contentious, contentious, or bodily injury. • Schedule necessary appointments using computer system technology. • Perform basic insurance and driver’s licensing transactions according to standardized processes. • Provide customers with relevant information resulting from transactions. • Search knowledge management databases to answer enquiries. • Maintain working knowledge of MPI policies and procedures. • Monitor contact-handling performance against service standards and KPIs and address performance issues. • Identify opportunities to improve departmental service quality. • Collaborate with peers and supervisors in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent • Three years of customer service, administrative office, or contact centre experience • Intermediate 2 oral French language skills • Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute • May be required to complete typing testing • Ability to work shift work, including evening and weekend shifts • Days off may not be consecutive • Physically able to perform duties required to operate related office equipment
