The company offers a broad product range (structural screws, beam hangers, connectors, rigging devices, fall‑arrest anchors, and accessories) and provides R&D, technical support, design resources, and logistics to help engineers and contractors implement sustainable, cost‑efficient timber connections. MTC emphasizes product testing, code alignment, and on‑demand availability (manufacturing in Canada and the US) for commercial, industrial, and residential mass timber projects.

📋 Description

• Create, maintain, and update design guides, white papers, and engineering resources • Interpret test results and research findings to produce design parameters and engineering tables • Apply relevant design standards (CSA O86, NDS, Eurocode 5, AS/NZS) and document appropriate assumptions and limits • Work with the R&D team to incorporate data • Collaborate with the Marketing team to refine visual layout and UX/UI • Address recurring industry questions with the Technical Service team • Develop and maintain calculation spreadsheets and digital engineering tools • Identify gaps in existing resources and propose updates • Lead technical documentation and engineering resource projects • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Timber Engineering (or equivalent background) • 5–10 years of engineering experience • Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or PE) designation, or eligibility for registration • Demonstrated experience managing technical projects involving multiple stakeholders • Experience developing engineering resources, design guides, specifications, calculation tools, or technical publications is considered an asset • Experience in timber engineering, structural connections, mass timber, or building products is considered an asset • Strong understanding of design standards such as CSA O86, NDS, Eurocode 5, or similar • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills • Strong technical writing and analytical skills • Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion • Proficiency in English required.
