📋 Description

• Develop complete mission concepts based on customer needs • Perform mission-level analysis and own all top-level mission budgets • Define requirements and design missions and mission payloads • Use software tools and/or write code to explore engineering trade studies and answer system design questions • Evaluate spacecraft performance and constellation configurations • Collaborate with discipline engineers and scientists to ensure products meet objectives • Work with international customers to identify needs and manage engineers developing cost-effective solutions • Support solution development and international business opportunities through regular international travel (30%)

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. or higher degree in a related engineering field • 12 years of experience working with space missions • Higher-level degrees in relevant topics count for 2 years of experience each • Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills • Ability to draw conclusions based on important available factors and data • Spacecraft design experience • Space mission design experience • Software skills in one or more of Python, Julia, Matlab, C, or C++ • Travel to the Mountain View facility for in-person meetings, build, and test • Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment • Access to export-controlled information requires either U.S. person status, eligibility without export authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining required export authorization
