• Translate, write, research, edit, storyboard, and create student- and teacher-facing Mathematics and Science material in Edwin • Develop app-ready Edwin content using an agile workflow • Respond to internal and external content requirements, including new development, licensing, and content repackaging • Communicate requirements, delegate tasks, and review Nelson staff and freelancer work as needed • Use customer feedback and usage data to prioritize and plan revisions and additions to the Edwin library • Populate an editorial calendar for featured Edwin content with Content & Curriculum Leads and the Commercial team • Manage project-specific authoring templates, guidelines, and best practices for consistent, bias-free, inclusive, and engaging content experiences • Research, write, edit, and storyboard text, audio, video, and interactive Edwin experiences • Supply marketing with key benefit statements for profiled learning experiences as needed • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to conceptualize engaging learning experiences • Develop content outlines, plans, and release schedules for assigned learning objects, projects, collections, and modules • Author or oversee authorship of content through publication and launch in the app • Consider customer needs, teaching and learning challenges, curriculum, pedagogy, and classroom engagement when developing content
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, French, Linguistics, Translation, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience in K–12 settings • Exceptional understanding of K–12 pedagogy, curriculum, and instructional design • Demonstrated experience supporting French Immersion and Core French programs • High proficiency in French and English • Ability to accurately and appropriately translate and adapt educational content for student audiences • Experience with educational translation and localization • Knowledge of second-language acquisition principles and French Immersion instruction best practices • Ability to work independently and collaborate with educators, curriculum developers, and subject-matter experts • Proven experience developing, adapting, and reviewing French Immersion learning resources aligned with Canadian curriculum outcomes • Strong written communication, attention to detail, and editorial judgment • Proficient problem-solving and idea development • Experience developing inclusive, accessible, and culturally responsive educational materials supporting UDL • Significant experience authoring, editing, and creating content for web, apps, videos, interactives, and/or games in the EdTech sector • Flexible technological mindset and willingness to embrace evolving software, AI, technologies, and skill requirements • Experience working within provincial/territorial curriculum frameworks is an asset • Working ability in HTML is a bonus
