• Provide advanced environmental support for due diligence, permitting, regulatory interpretation and compliance, and agency interface • Support corporate development opportunities in the Central Region • Manage multifaceted environmental issues, licensing and permitting processes, legislative development, and related activities • Support environmental due diligence, siting, and environmental approvals/permits for energy development, mergers and acquisitions, financings, and asset divestitures • Serve as subject matter expert on complex environmental matters and compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and permit conditions • Assess and communicate environmental risk • Manage aquatic, biological, and cultural resource consultants, studies, and technical reports • Provide guidance on alternatives to minimize environmental impacts • Manage project planning, budgets, and schedules • Translate regulatory authorities into actionable tasks • Negotiate with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies • Develop and manage vendor contracts, purchase orders, and invoices • Communicate environmental requirements to management and stakeholders • Review, monitor, and comment on emerging environmental legislation and regulations • Travel and work extended hours when applicable
• Bachelor's Degree • 4+ years of experience • Advanced environmental support experience in due diligence, permitting, regulatory interpretation and compliance • Strong experience in permitting, including NEPA, utility siting, endangered species, and waters of the U.S. • Experience in risk diligence and mitigation • Project management ability, including leading projects and consultants with limited direction • Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations • Ability to interface with regulatory agencies, internal and external customers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders • Ability to travel and work extended hours when applicable
