📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end UX design for Data & Analytics products from discovery and concept through detailed design and handoff • Design intuitive interactions, information architecture, and data visualizations for complex engineering data • Collaborate with Product Owners, engineers, systems engineers, testers, and subject matter experts • Translate requirements into user-centered solutions • Use user research and product data to inform design decisions, prioritize features, and shape product roadmaps • Create and maintain user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups with design specifications • Partner with UX Researchers on user research, usability testing, and surveys • Synthesize research findings into actionable design improvements • Communicate design rationale and tradeoffs to stakeholders and development teams • Support implementation by working with UI developers, clarifying interaction behaviors, and validating designs in working software • Mentor and engage across disciplines to promote UX best practices and a user-centered culture • Occasional travel or short-term site visits may be required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in psychology, human factors, user experience, graphic design, industrial design, or another HCI-related field and 2+ years of relevant experience for Systems SW Analyst; OR master’s degree in a related field; OR 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree • Bachelor’s degree in a related HCI field and 5+ years of relevant experience for Principal Systems SW Analyst; OR master’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience; OR 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree • Demonstrated experience designing digital products or tools, preferably data- and analytics-focused, using modern UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe Creative Cloud • Skill translating technical concepts and workflows into user-friendly interaction and visual designs • Experience documenting interface behaviors and supporting implementation and integration • Experience with information architecture, user flows, and interaction patterns for complex applications • Experience across the UX workflow from concepts through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs • Experience conducting user-centered research and turning findings into actionable design recommendations • Understanding of lean UX and agile delivery practices • U.S. Citizenship • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Experience designing data visualization, analytics tools, or complex dashboards • Familiarity with SharePoint, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Experience leading product or feature teams from a UX perspective • Experience designing interfaces compliant with military standards such as MIL-STD • Basic understanding of systems engineering, digital engineering, and DevOps concepts
