📋 Description
• Serve as a Fractional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a focus on AI for startup clients. • Engage with the Toronto-Waterloo startup ecosystem and potentially assume CTO roles in startups. • Provide end-to-end product development guidance across web/cloud, mobile, hardware and firmware. • Lead AI project scoping, cost estimation, and product road mapping. • Lead and manage technical teams; mentor startup engineering teams. • Oversee AI/ML model development, deployment, and management on cloud infrastructure. • Apply Agile and Lean Startup methodologies to AI projects and consult on digital transformation and cybersecurity. • Contractual engagement with potential to transition to a full-time position in the future.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in AI-focused projects, including but not limited to Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, etc. • Experience leading or managing technical teams in AI-centric startups. • Demonstrable experience with AI/ML models development, deployment, and management. • Expertise in AI project scoping, cost estimation, and product road mapping. • Deep understanding of AI/ML algorithms and software architecture design patterns. • Proficiency in AI-focused development and deployment in cloud infrastructure. • Familiarity with Agile Project Management and Lean Startup methodologies within the context of AI projects. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in AI, Machine Learning, or a related field (great to have). • Previous experience as a technical co-founder of an AI-based startup (great to have). • Software development consulting or freelance experience with AI-focused startups (great to have).
