📋 Description

• Develop and execute account strategies for national and regional commercial payers • Engage payer stakeholders across medical, pharmacy, policy, reimbursement, and contracting functions • Support launch-readiness planning for AXPAXLI/OTX-TKI and access optimization for DEXTENZA • Monitor payer policies, formulary criteria, utilization controls, benefit design changes, and reimbursement trends • Partner cross-functionally to align evidence, value communication, field resources, and compliant account engagement • Translate payer insights into practical recommendations for internal planning and executive decision-making • Help shape commercial payer strategy for Ocular Therapeutix’s retina pipeline and marketed ophthalmology portfolio • Report to the Executive Director, Payer Access

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred • 10+ years of relevant biopharmaceutical, medical device, market access, payer account management, reimbursement, pricing, contracting, or commercial experience • 12+ years preferred for Senior Director level • Experience calling on national and regional payer accounts, including commercial plans, PBMs, IDNs, or payer-affiliated provider organizations • Strong understanding of medical benefit and pharmacy benefit access, buy-and-bill reimbursement, specialty pharmacy, coding, coverage policy, prior authorization, and utilization management • Experience in ophthalmology, retina, specialty pharmacy, rare/specialty therapeutics, or provider-administered products preferred • Strong communication, account planning, analytical, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills • Comfort operating in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
