📋 Description

• Assist with urgent after-hours travel requests for campus, faculty, and staff of university business clients • Book domestic, international, and group travel using the Sabre reservations system • Book air, car, and hotel reservations using the Sabre GDS • Maintain professional and courteous client relations through prompt and accurate telephone and email responses • Protect university data and comply with Company PCI standards • Promote university travel program policies, negotiated contracts, and preferred vendors • Apply discount programs appropriately • Achieve individual and contractual service-level goals related to productivity • Work scheduled Wednesday–Friday, 2p–9p EST and Saturday–Sunday, 8a–5p EST, with Mondays and Tuesdays off

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years travel consultant experience using the Sabre GDS, including group and international travel • Knowledge of general office PC-based programs, including Microsoft Office Suite • Strong judgment and decision-making skills • Positive attitude and ability to show empathy • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work professionally and independently in a home office • Knowledge of airline terminology, codes, fare basis, airline rules and tariffs, resource guides, books, and industry contacts • Knowledge of airline rules and regulations and current affairs • Knowledge of grant travel guidelines, including the Fly America Act • Ability to work under stress and meet ticketing deadlines • Ability to work as a team player and adapt in a dynamic environment • Ability to come to work promptly and regularly
