📋 Description

• Design, build, test, and maintain backend services and technology powering Openly’s insurance platform and customer experiences • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop core systems and APIs • Build internal tooling and APIs to improve business and engineering processes • Implement systemic changes aligned with architectural goals • Integrate external services for payments, documents, and claims • Integrate data providers supplying real-time property and risk information • Provide subject matter expertise, mentorship, and team support • Participate in architectural discussions • Contribute to decisions regarding microservices versus monoliths, deployment techniques, technologies, and policies • Participate in daily stand-ups, weekly 1:1s, and biweekly retrospectives

🎯 Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional/production experience developing backend web-stack applications • Professional experience leveraging Go in prior roles • Ability to complete a code challenge in Go during the interview process • Sustained track record of improving business-critical systems for stability, performance, and scalability • Ability to deliver complete systems from start to finish with little or no supervision • Strong interpersonal skills, including explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences • Currently authorized to work full-time in the United States • Currently residing in the United States • No employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
