• Collect manual and automated instrumentation readings • Conduct data checks, reductions, and analysis • Assist with installation, testing, calibration, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of geotechnical instruments and the permanent automated data acquisition system, including MIMS • Maintain, calibrate, and use equipment related to instrumentation tasks • Support documentation, including installation reports, as-built drawings, and commissioning records • Submit data and documentation in compliance with the customer GIS Standard • Follow and contribute to installation procedures and execution plans • Assist with commissioning, repair, decommissioning, and related geotechnical instrumentation activities • Collaborate with the Project Manager, Engineer, and Supervisor • Adhere to strict safety protocols • Monitor a new dam structure through maintenance, troubleshooting, and data collection
• Diploma or degree in Electronic, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology, or a relevant technical field • Instrumentation Engineering Technology or electrical technologist experience with proven instrumentation experience • Eligible to register with ASTTBC preferred • Familiarity with geotechnical site investigations preferred • Strong safety commitment • Excellent communication skills • Organized, detail-oriented, strong work ethic, and problem-solving ability • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean record • Willingness to work in a remote location on a rotational basis • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in extreme weather • Must adhere to the drug and alcohol policy and successfully pass drug and alcohol testing prior to employment • Must not require Orica immigration sponsorship now or in the future
