📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and operation of distributed application architectures powering mission-critical APIs and data services • Lead service decomposition strategies for GraphQL subgraphs and backend APIs across synchronous serverless and asynchronous containerized workloads • Define resiliency and observability strategies, including health modeling, DLQs, autoscaling, distributed tracing, structured logging, and dashboards • Ensure security-by-design with TLS, OIDC/JWT authentication, least-privilege IAM, and encryption policies • Oversee serverless compute, container orchestration, and secure cloud networking • Manage infrastructure-as-code deployments and enforce compliance and auditability • Drive CI/CD practices for zero-downtime deployments, blue/green rollouts, and automated health checks • Guide GraphQL subgraph development with Apollo Server, including resolver design, schema evolution, and validation directives • Lead Golang service development for high-throughput APIs, webhooks, and background processing • Design and optimize relational data models and ORM-based persistence layers • Architect reliable messaging workflows with queues, event buses, and orchestration frameworks • Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, compliance, and security teams • Deliver secure, compliant, scalable services meeting latency and error SLOs

🎯 Requirements

• US Citizenship or Permanent Residence Status Required • Expert-level TypeScript and GoLang • Strong understanding of Node.js and Go runtime patterns • Hands-on experience with Apollo Server (GraphQL), Express, and RESTful API design • Experience with GORM, PrismaORM or TypeORM • Relational schema design experience • Proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure) • Experience with serverless functions, container orchestration, and IaC using CDK/Terraform • Strong background in TLS, OIDC/JWT, IAM/RBAC, and KMS or equivalent encryption services • Experience with distributed tracing, structured logging, metrics/alerting pipelines, queues, event buses, DLQs, and workflow engines • Experience with automated pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent tools • Preferred: GraphQL federation and schema governance • Preferred: Multi-cloud strategies and cost optimization • Preferred: High-volume data processing and event-driven architecture
