PanOptimization is a company providing next-generation additive manufacturing finite element simulation software and engineering expertise to predict and improve build outcomes for industrial 3D-printed parts. Their PanX platform uses a novel multi-grid thermomechanical modeling approach to simulate Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) and Directed Energy Deposition (DED) at part scale, enabling distortion compensation, crack prediction and mitigation, optimization of toolpath timing and dwell, and accounting for machine processing conditions. PanOptimization targets B2B customers across aerospace, defense, energy, and automotive sectors and offers software, services, and partner/reseller channels globally.

📋 Description

• Work directly with customers to ensure that they are successful in applying PanX to manufacture actual parts. • Lead technical sales discussions. • Perform pre-release solver testing/QA to ensure solver quality. • Interact with end-users to gather feedback on work and ideas for future features/improvements. • Develop small standalone (auxiliary) programs related to core solver.

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field • Experience with Additive Manufacturing • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis • M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field (preferred) • Thorough understanding of Finite Element Analysis (preferred) • Experience with programming (Python, Fortran, C, C++) (preferred) • Experience with ParaView (preferred)

🏖️ Benefits

• Infrequent day and overnight travel is required; some sporadic, international travel may be necessary. • Must be able to travel by common carrier air and/or train for prospect/customer site visits and industry tradeshows and other events.
