📋 Description

• Lead the architecture and evolution of business-critical platform services across multiple teams and products • Design resilient, scalable systems aligned with long-term platform strategy and organizational impact • Anticipate operational risks and build safeguards before production issues occur • Assess engineering investments using data and outcomes, adjusting direction as needed • Guide technical transitions, platform modernizations, and migration programs • Produce architectural guidance, technical standards, and reference designs • Establish operational, reliability, security, and AI governance standards • Mentor and influence engineers across teams • Drive responsible adoption of AI-enabled engineering approaches • Shape the technical foundation supporting Pax8's cloud commerce marketplace, engineering organization, and future growth

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced expertise in software architecture and systems design • Proven ability to evaluate complex technical trade-offs involving scalability, reliability, cost, latency, and maintainability • Demonstrated success designing platforms and services that support multiple teams and business functions • Extensive experience identifying and mitigating systemic risks before they become operational issues • Strong technical communication skills with a history of creating influential architectural documentation and engineering standards • Proven ability to drive technical alignment and influence decisions across multiple stakeholder groups • Deep understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, governance, and responsible implementation practices • Advanced proficiency using AI-powered tools to accelerate software development while maintaining quality and security standards • Experience reviewing, validating, and governing AI-assisted engineering solutions • Strong understanding of platform reliability, observability, security, and operational excellence • Experience leading large-scale modernization initiatives and technical migrations • Knowledge of agentic workflows, orchestration patterns, and AI-native software development approaches • Demonstrated success improving engineering effectiveness through automation and intelligent systems • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience • Must hold valid right to work in United States • Pre-employment ID verification, reference requests, and qualification checks
