📋 Description

• Create, implement and maintain system design elements, tools and workflows for the dedicated Level Design team. • Assign, delegate and support individuals in their tasks, monitoring and reviewing progress of their work. • Provide constructive feedback and clear communication to improve objective playability within levels, facilitate integration workload and ensure a continuous improvement approach. • Take responsibility for evaluating direct reports during periodic performance reviews, providing meaningful input for their career development. • Foster an engaging team atmosphere and promote a healthy work–life balance by setting clear expectations and scope of work, empowering individuals to propose solutions and voice their opinions. • Use data such as pulse checks and satisfaction scores. • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other Managers, Directors, departments and project stakeholders on an ongoing basis to build trust and work toward the project's goals and ambitions. • Follow and implement the Director’s guidance and vision. • Contribute to the Director’s direction by providing key data, raising issues, seeking guidance and relaying information to the relevant project leads. • Provide mentoring, troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving support to members of the Level Design and Technical Level Design teams. • Work with production teams on task assignment and team scheduling. • Provide day-to-day feedback and resolve issues creatively. • Establish cooperation with Combat and Level Designers and maintain Level Design documentation standards. • Ensure the Level Design team can effectively balance the project’s creative vision with the technical budget constraints provided by the Technical Director, acting as the technical point of reference for the team on Level Design matters. • Proactively identify cross-disciplinary challenges and risks for the project and propose solutions. • Manage or oversee the work of established special teams (Strike Teams). • Oversee bug fixing and document case studies in the knowledge base. • Lead recruitment projects in collaboration with HR. • Establish onboarding standards in cooperation with Combat and Level Design leads. • May occasionally participate in onboarding new hires. • Collaborate across the studio: Production, Art, Environment Art, Meshers, Programmers, Design (Game/Combat/Technical), QA, HR.

🎯 Requirements

• Typically 7+ years of experience, including prior leadership experience. • Generally at least 2 successfully shipped AAA titles on PC or console. • Essential qualifications: strong leadership and mentoring skills. • Good presentation skills. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. • Deep understanding of game creation and development processes. • Experience with text-based and visual scripting systems. • Proficiency with Atlassian software (JIRA, Confluence). • Self-motivated and autonomous. • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
