📋 Description

• Independently design, develop, implement, and maintain automated unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end functional tests • Integrate automated test cases into the Government-managed DevSecOps pipeline by the end of each Agile sprint • Apply Test-Driven Development and align test coverage with functional requirements • Lead Test Automation State Assessments and produce automation completion estimates • Automate legacy test cases according to Government-approved schedules • Evaluate and improve test architecture, reusability, and pipeline integration • Mentor junior QA engineers on automation best practices, script development, and tool usage • Develop and own Requirements Traceability Matrices at the end of each sprint • Document test activities, results, and defects in the Government-provided Test Case Management System • Prepare Testing Reports, Release Notes, and Software Version Descriptions • Enforce quality thresholds and zero-defect production releases • Lead JIRA defect triage and root cause analysis; manage escalation workflows • Submit weekly defect escalation reports to customers and the Government Product Owner • Conduct Section 508 / WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility testing and prepare VPATs • Lead stress and load testing in the ProdSim environment • Coordinate Disaster Recovery testing and support IV&V before production deployment • Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain sprint-level QA metrics in JIRA • Enforce SDLC quality gates and escalate non-conforming deliverables • Own and submit the monthly Quality Status Report

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation engineering, or related software testing roles with BS/BA, or 3 years with MS/MA • Must be a US citizen • Active Public Trust clearance • Cybersecurity workforce certification (e.g., Security+, CASP+) • Hands-on experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks and scripts using Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Python, Java, or equivalent • Working knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices within Agile sprint cycles • Proficiency with JIRA for defect tracking, sprint management, and reporting • Experience developing Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), UAT plans, and formal testing documentation • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration within a DevSecOps environment • Experience with Section 508 / WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility testing and VPAT preparation • Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to report QA status and metrics to program leadership and Government stakeholders • Preferred: ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level certification • Preferred: Experience supporting DoD or Federal government IT programs with formal QA deliverable obligations • Preferred: Familiarity with eMASS and Fortify Software Security Center • Preferred: Prior experience with DEERS, TRICARE, or other DoD healthcare/benefits systems • Preferred: Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 security controls • Preferred: Experience with performance/load testing tools and stress test execution in production-simulation environments • Preferred: Familiarity with ServiceNow • Preferred: Experience mentoring junior QA team members and reviewing test artifacts
