📋 Description

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy focused on family foundations, family offices, donor advised funds, and high-net-worth individuals • Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate fundraising goals with organizational planning and budgeting • Maintain relationships with institutional funders • Identify and research prospective donors and build a robust donor pipeline • Support the Founder and Executive Director in funder meetings, pitches, and fundraising opportunities • Convert policy and media wins into fundraising opportunities • Lead planning and execution of fundraising dinners, gatherings, conferences, and events • Manage stewardship and renewal of existing funder and donor support • Make direct asks for funder contributions • Oversee donor communications, updates, briefings, memos, newsletters, and impact reports • Lead grant proposal development and oversee the grant lifecycle • Prepare presentations, concept papers, proposals, budgets, and reports • Design scalable development systems, databases, CRM processes, and donor-tracking infrastructure • Support onboarding and mentoring of additional fundraising staff

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of fundraising experience • Demonstrated record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts from family foundations, family offices, DAFs, and HNW individual donors • Strong relationships with family foundations, family offices, DAFs, and HNW individual donors • Experience managing significant donor portfolios • Comfort making direct asks • Proven donor stewardship and cultivation skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strategic ability to connect programmatic objectives with donor interests and priorities • Experience crafting pitch decks, concept notes, and proposals • Strong emotional intelligence • Ability to thrive in an early-stage, fast-paced, dynamic, and uncertain startup environment • Ability to identify priorities, function independently, and operate with tight timelines • Passion for modernizing the utility regulatory system to lower utility bills and grow the economy
