The practice offers orthopaedic surgery, sports medicine, interventional pain management, physical therapy, MRI and imaging services, express ortho care, and patient resources such as online scheduling and educational content to help patients recover and return to activity.

📋 Description

• Review medical records and assign accurate ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT procedure codes • Abstract data in compliance with national, regional, and local policies • Use the practice management system to account for demographics and services performed for scheduled and unscheduled surgical cases • Use hospital medical record systems to obtain clinical documents and demographics required for coding and billing • Coordinate with physicians and staff regarding hospital procedures • Educate and support clinical areas on appropriate documentation and coding • Communicate with providers concerning coding issues • Manage patient demographics, clinical documentation, and billing data across practice management systems and hospital records

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred • Accredited by the American Health Information Management Association (CCS-P) or the American Academy of Professional Coders (CPC) • Newly obtained coding certification to three years experience in provider coding and medical terminology required • Extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPC Coding required • Preferred specialty experience in areas of Orthopaedics, Neurology, Physical Medicine, and Rehabilitation of Pain Management • Ability to work full-time Monday-Friday remotely • Knowledge of practice management systems and hospital medical record systems • Understanding of coding guidelines, policies, and regulations
