📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain systems processing ACH and wire transfers at scale, including origination, settlement, reconciliation, and exception handling • Build and harden payment-processing pipelines integrating with banking partners, payment rails, and third-party financial APIs • Implement wire-fraud prevention, transaction verification, and anomaly-detection controls with security and compliance teams • Improve and extend frontend and backend web applications supporting escrow accounting and closing-day money movement • Own payments-infrastructure architecture, including data integrity, idempotency, retry and failure handling, and audit logging • Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Accounting stakeholders to meet regulatory and audit requirements, including NACHA rules, wire-fraud regulations, and SOC 2 controls • Participate in the on-call rotation for payment-critical systems • Collaborate with design, compliance, and customer-facing teams while owning projects end to end

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a strong full-stack web developer is required • Direct experience building or maintaining money-movement systems in banking, fintech, payment processors, or similar regulated environments strongly preferred • Strong understanding of transactional integrity, idempotency, and failure-mode design in financial systems • Familiarity with payment rails, banking APIs, or financial compliance standards such as NACHA, OFAC screening, PCI, and SOC 2 is a strong plus • Experience making key architectural decisions for large, high-stakes projects • Experience mentoring junior developers • Experience working on multiple engineering teams, both small and large • Good product sense, strong attention to detail, and passion for building trustworthy financial systems • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, React, MeteorJS, MongoDB, microservice architecture, Kubernetes, and AWS • Ability to own complex, high-liability production systems and respond calmly and methodically when funds are at stake
