• Handle all aspects of litigation for the Wyoming or Montana practice • Review correspondence and files to determine whether matters are suit appropriate • Review answers and prepare discovery and disposition motions • Prepare for and conduct trials • Represent clients in pre-judgment and post-judgment matters • Attend court hearings • Analyze and advise on legal and regulatory risks • Independently engage in risk analysis and develop strategies adhering to state and federal rules, regulations, and compliance standards • Keep abreast of changes in state or local rules • Manage an individual caseload • Travel for some work-related matters
• Between one and five years’ experience • Licensed to practice law in Wyoming or Montana, with the ability to obtain additional licenses • Background in civil litigation and experience attending court proceedings • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws • Ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to prioritize and organize high volumes of information • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm • Ability to draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery, stipulations, reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, and other documents • Familiarity with state and federal consumer laws and changes in state or local rules • Ability to manage own caseload • Knowledge of Bankruptcy Law, Foreclosure Law, FDCPA, FCRA, or TCPA is a plus • Professional appearance and positive company image • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer • Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
